Plug And Play Install

This section covers everything you need to know about installing a RoninDojo Bitcoin node using the plug and play deployment method. This is considered the easiest and fastest way to get started.

Requirements

Make sure you have the correct hardware from the Compatible Hardware List.

Download RoninOS

Section titled “Download RoninOS”

  1. Download the RoninOS Image for your hardware.

  2. Confirm your image is authentic by following the Verify Operating System page.

How To Flash RoninOS

Section titled “How To Flash RoninOS”

  1. Download Balena Etcher.

  2. Insert the micro SD card into your PC, open Balena Etcher, select the RoninOS image, select your microSD card, and finally press Flash!

Get Started

Section titled “Get Started”

  1. Insert the micro SD card into your RoninDojo device. Plug in the ethernet cable, power cable, and power on the device. Some devices may turn on automatically once the power cable is inserted.

  2. Your node will automatically begin setup, so do not disconnect power during this time.

  3. Open a web browser, make sure any VPN is disabled, and enter the following.

    http://ronindojo.local

  4. Set your user password, which will be used to log into RoninUI.

    • Use a strong alphanumeric password.
    • Do not use special characters such as @, #, &, ?.

  5. Wait for the initialization to complete. After initialization, you can access your RoninUI dashboard.

  6. Your node will not be functional until the blockchain and indexer sync has finished.

SSH Access

Prefer to use command line menus? After you create a password, you can SSH remote log in using the ronin username. See the RoninCLI Section for more info.
